Kłodzka Stronghold
Undoubtedly, one of the most popular object in Klodzko is a stronghold overlooking the city, being located on the hill named Stronghold Mountain (Forteczna Gora).
In that place, in the X century, there was a fortified town which goal was to guard the trading route from Czech Republic to Silesia. After some time a castle was built and it has been extended through centuries.
At last, in 1743 when Klodzko belonged to Prussia, a building of a modern stronghold begun and today we can admire this building. The building has lasted for a several dozen years and its stronghold values were appreciated by the defenders during the Second Silesian war, when building of the stronghold was still in progress.
